Meet the Staff

		Rev. Carter McInnis, Lead Pastor - carter@ifoundtheway.com What do you need to know about me? I love Jesus, and I love people. That′s pretty much the reason why I do what I do. I believe that God has incredible plans for our lives if we follow Him. I believe that we will get the most out of life if we embrace exactly who He created us to be. I know it′s not always easy to get there. My passion is helping people get there. That′s why I felt called to start this church called The Way. I also love my family, my incredible wife, Emily, and our three wild boys, Morgan, Tanner, and Walker (and we have one more baby on the way this April). You probably need to know that I grew up in South Carolina, but my family is mostly from Georgia, and this place is in my blood. I love living here – in this state and in this community. I′ve been in ministry since 2000, and life at Church of The Way is by far the most exhilarating ride in all those years. I am passionate about my faith, family, helping people find The Way to God, music, good food (including Mello Yello & Sweet Tea), and sports (mostly jogging and college football). 		Josh Farr, Worship Pastor - josh@ifoundtheway.com I have been involved at CHURCH OF THE WAY since it's birth in 2005. Coming onto staff in February of 2007, I count it a pleasure to lead the music portion of our worship on Sunday mornings. I believe God desires for all people to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Music merely represents one way we worship God. Complete worship of God only occurs when we "offer our bodies as living sacrifices; holy and acceptable to Him". (Romans 12:1) I have been blessed with a wonderful wife, Hollie, and a precious son, Caleb, both of whom I love very, very much.

		Dorothy Harden, Prayer & Care Pastor - dorothy@ifoundtheway.com God literally called me out of Lawrenceville First United Methodist Church in early 2005 to help start CHURCH OF THE WAY with these words from Isaiah 30:2: "This is The Way. Walk in it." I have been so blessed to serve and worship with an awesome group of people. I consider it a responsibility and privilege to pray with and for others. God has taught me so much about the power of prayer and His desire to communicate with us and take us deeper in our relationship with Him through prayer. I have experienced His love and grace over and over through my life experiences and believe that He has a plan and purpose for each of our lives. I was born and raised in Atlanta, GA, and have lived in this area for the last 34 years. I have been blessed with a loving husband of 36 years, Barry, and a son, Robert. God has multiplied my blessings with the additions of a precious grandson, Christian, a beautiful daughter-in-law, Tiffany, and a sweet granddaughter, Delia.

		Heather Teague, *LIFE Group Pastor* - heather@ifoundtheway.com I love being a part of CHURCH OF THE WAY . I also really enjoy eating, and any place that can roll connecting with God and awesome snacks into every Sunday morning is a place I want to be…especially when I can wear jeans (or sweat pants) and know that God’s going to show up regardless. My background is in school counseling, and I truly believe in the power of relationships, ultimately between each of us as individuals with our Creator, but also between all of us as human beings. I think CHURCH OF THE WAY is a great place to build both. In my free time, I enjoy eating great food that was prepared by someone else, catching up on my “tivo-ed” television shows, watching college football, and spending time with my kids, Harris and Hadley.

		Ashley Baker, Discovery Way Children’s Pastor - ashley@ifoundtheway.com I believe that children should be as excited to come to church as they are with anything else they do in their week. I know that in the world that we live in with so much else for kids to do that is a pretty tall order but I believe that we can make it happen. As the newest member of the team at The Way let me say my family and I are very excited to be here. My husband Scott and I have been married for almost 10 years and have two amazing boys Noah and Isaac. Our favorite place to be is Disney World but when we can’t be there we enjoy college football, baseball and planning our next trip to Disney World.

		John Dunn, One Way Student Pastor - john@ifoundtheway.com I love music, sports, guitars, J.R.R. Tolkien, martial arts, meeting people, my wife and Jesus. I grew up in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. My father is an ordained United Methodist pastor, so I am a life long member! We lived in LaGrange, GA until I was about 12 or 13, then we move to Alpharetta, GA. I went to high school at Chattahoochee High School, graduated in 1998. Then I went to Reinhardt College in Waleska, GA. A few years after college, I got married and went to seminary at Asbury Seminary in Kentucky. I graduated in May 2009. We’re back in Georgia (wahoo!) and live in Athens. My wife, Tara, works at the Wesley Foundation on the UGA campus, as the director of the prayer ministry. We do not have kids, but we hope to start a family within the next couple years. See ya at The Way!

		Jason Bunzey, Technical Director - bunzey@ifoundtheway.com I joined CHURCH OF THE WAY as the sound guy at the beginning, and it's been a learning experience ever since. I joined the staff in June of 2007 and haven't looked back. I've made some great friends and love having the opportunity to help lead people to Jesus. My wife Marie and I welcomed our first child, Savannah, in December of '07 and look forward to raising her in "The Way."

		April Smith, Wonder Way Pastor - april@ifoundtheway.com I am so excited to be serving with you at CHURCH OF THE WAY ! I've known since I was a child that God wanted me to minister to and help children. I went to Clemson University and received a degree in Early Childhood Education. I married my high school sweetheart, Brian. I taught 3rd and 4th grades before we had the first of our 3 wonderful children, Bri, 12, Britney, 9, and Bret, 5. Since then I've taught adult literacy, preschool, and at-risk children, and been a preschool and children's minister! We have just moved to Georgia from South Carolina. Brian is the football coach at Hebron Christian Academy. We love going to football games, mostly Clemson and Hebron Christian ones, soccer games, basketball games, and softball games!

		Kathy Peterson, Graphic Designer - kathy@ifoundtheway.com I joined the staff at CHURCH OF THE WAY in Summer 2005 as Ministry Assistant to Carter and Staff Graphic Designer. I have not only had the pleasure of witnessing the birth of The Way, but also the many people it has touched since then. What a blessing it is to see the growth and passion in the people, the message, and the ministry. I have been married to Ted, my #1 blessing, for 27 years, and we have two awesome sons—one who is attending the University of Tennessee (Go Vols! Sorry, Carter…) and another who is attending Kennesaw State University. My family is what fills my heart on a daily basis. We are active members of the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville (The Way’s mother church) and have lived in Lawrenceville for over 19 years.

		Gail Pulliam, Ministry Assistant - gail@ifoundtheway.com I joined the staff at CHURCH OF THE WAY in January 2008. I am blessed with my husband, John, and our two beautiful daughters, ages 11 and 8. I love fitness, running, cooking and anything to do with health/nutrition. Most of all I love to see God’s hand at work in the lives of others, and I’m so excited to be a part of God’s team at The Way. My family and I have been active members of FUMC Lawrenceville for the last 16 years.
